Although we aren’t all back at school just yet, we still intend to celebrate World book day as much as we usually would. We’ve organised a variety of activities that our remote learners and key workers can participate in.

Instead of dressing up today, the staff have disguised themselves to read a chapter or extract of their favourite book. Watch the video below and see if you can guess which member of the school staff is behind the mask. Fill out your guesses on the sheet below and submit to your class teacher.

Each year group will set their pupils the task of creating their own mask too. A template mask will be provided for those who wish to use the template but the children are encouraged to be as creative as they can to create the ultimate disguise! We would like to create a gallery of our masked pupils reading their favourite books on the school website.
To be in with a chance to win a very special prize, we would like the children to make a model of their favourite book character. To enter, please send a photograph of your child’s model to their class teacher by the end of the day on Thursday 4th March. Winners will be announced on Friday 5th March.
